Not to mention that both CAS and Build/Buy seem to be inspired in the Creature Creator and the Building Editor! Sims 4: When EA uses the best parts of Spore and Sims 3 to improve Sims 2! Also as far as I know it has not been said that the game would autonomously load content from the Galery into our game so no innovation of the penis creatures in Sims 4! Yay!

Since the Sims 4 world is a closed system and not constantly expanding like the Spore galaxy the Galery won't be as necessary a feature as Sporepedia was in Spore.

I however don't think it will bring the same problems as with Spore. Yes, that is actually a really nice observation, thanks for bringing that to our attention, Meia_Power!Īnd I agree with Krysis Adelis I am also glad that they take the best parts of Spore and improve the Sims with it, it shows resourcefulness. I'm actually glad that they might be recycling the things that worked best in Spore, since that game seems to have fallen by the wayside. I hope they don't expect all our sims to live in copies of the same residential building! Remember making the buildings and cars in Spore? It looks alot like this 'new' build concept too, except in Spore things were on a kind of rotating pedestal in the build mode and copies were put down in the 'world' as needed. Sims 4 looks like it has that kinda cartoonish, shiny texture too, like everything is just balloons attached to the landscape with occasional straight edges. I totally agree! And the 'grab the creature feature to change it' idea is from Spore too! I actually love Spore, right up until the space stage, but I never could get it to log on at all, so I had to make all my own critters, which was lots of fun because then I didn't have to deal with the inevitable penis monsters and that is so off topic I smack myself. Oh, and we could play it offline, though! We'd only lose the access to Sporepedia) Spore was an online single-player experience (it required an Internet connection to access the Sporepedia, which was a big part of the game, as it pulled the creatures we found in-game from it. TS4 has reminded me of Spore quite a lot. We could ignore that step, but we wouldn't be able to access Sporepedia (I mean, I think we could, but we wouldn't have access to other player's creations, only our own) However, we had to log in when we started the game. I really liked Spore, and I still play it, and as far as I can remember, Sporepedia (if we had a stable internet connection) did not have a lot of issues (aside from a giant bug it had). What are your thoughts on this? It is clearly not a new idea, it has been around since 2008.

#SPOREPEDIA 2 HOW TO#

I don't know how to use spoilers!! I tried to find smaller images, though. (For those who don't know, the Sporepedia had exactly the same concept as The Gallery, as it was meant for players to share their creations ) Since E3, after I saw The Gallery, it instantly reminded me of Sporepedia.
