I often feel like I need to have a day away from all that to live in the moment and enjoy the smaller things we would normally overlook, so how do you try to remind your audience that we all need to take a step back and have that motto you hold? Is it something you like to instill in your music lyrically? Cell phones, gaming devices and other distractions have taken away that in the moment feeling. The small things in life have turned into a “how can I use this to gain more attention” which can be detrimental to someone’s mental health. Once I got a chance to record my own original song I never looked back, now having released 8 songs and an EP in June! More shows came up and I having been honing my craft on the stage for the last few years, enjoying the buzz of being able to spread my message through music. I caught the bug of singing and performing from there on. I took up musical theatre at school and performed at quite a few productions. How did that experience help shape you to become an artist? And is there still an itch to do more musicals in the future along with being an artist? Playing a lead role in the musical, ‘Evita’. You got your start at the tender age of 9, if i am not mistaken. Over the years, I’ve definitely improved in how I illustrate those messages, and refined my skill. It’s very freeing, and makes music so enjoyable for me. So when I get even a hint of inspiration, it’s straight to the notes app! I’ll jot down random words or ideas about what I’m feeling, and then later put it into a song. My music is representative of my messages and emotions that I feel daily. The world is my inspiration, and the relationships within it. I’m not afraid to express my thoughts and emotions through my music, it’s my creative outlet!
